About The Foundation

We support research and run programs to discover more about…

  • Disability

  • Social inclusion

  • The power of giving

We are here to help build an Australia in which people with disability are welcomed and feel a true sense of belonging. The Achieve Foundation was set up to create real and sustainable change by working with people with disability.

Purpose:

Increase investment in disability and inclusion, and build solutions at scale in disability housing and community attitudes.

Principles:

Collaboration, stewardship, extraordinary outcomes, and accountability.

Passion:

Social inclusion for people with disability.

Achieve Australia formed The Achieve Foundation

Achieve Australia provides services and support for people with disability.

In 2021, Achieve Australia formed The Achieve Foundation to take part in and fund research and innovation that will dismantle barriers to inclusion.

Achieve Australia wants The Achieve Foundation to do work that improves inclusion for all people with disability, not only the people Achieve Australia supports.

The Achieve Foundation has an independent board and executive leadership team, focused on driving innovation across the sector.

The Achieve Foundation needs to work with organisations and the community so that it can fund itself.

“How people see us as people – and what they expect from us – makes a huge difference to how we act and perform. We know that simply because we have all felt that is some way in our lives.

“The over-riding goal of The Achieve Foundation is to transform attitudes about people with disability. That transformation will ultimately address barriers to inclusion in all contexts.”
